Join Voices Found Repertory as we travel to a tropical island this winter!
In true VFR fashion, our production of William Shakespeare is a little different. Let our chorus of 5 actors take you on a spellbinding journey in under 2 hours.

Prospero, the exiled Duke of Milan, uses his magic to conjure a tempest and shipwreck his enemies on a remote island. Among the castaways are Prospero’s treacherous brother and the King of Naples who stripped him of his dukedom. The king’s son Ferdinand encounters Prospero’s daughter Miranda, and the two immediately fall in love. Elsewhere on the island, Prospero’s slave Caliban plots to murder his master with the help of two shipwrecked drunkards. Presiding over all of these groups is the elemental spirit Ariel, bound into service by Prospero until his revenge is complete. THE TEMPEST follows Prospero’s journey toward forgiving his enemies and relinquishing control, not only of his magic and the spirits of the isle, but of his daughter as she grows up and discovers the “brave new world” beyond the island’s shores.
