With a lot of our board members, you'll notice that they've been involved in the performing or designing aspect of our productions in the past or concurrently with their board position. That's because our board members are made up of our VFR Family. Hello! My name is Brittany Haut. I’m VFR’s resident blogmeister and I’ve been working with VFR as an actor for nearly three years and have been serving on the board for two years. My goal for running the blog is to give people an inside view into the people at VFR as well as our process and our production.
I graduated with a BA in theatre and a minor in music from UW-Whitewater and have been working in the Milwaukee area for over 3 years. I’m currently in rehearsal for “The Odd Couple (female version)” with Lemonade Theatre. In five years, I would love to see VFR continue to build up their presence in Milwaukee theatre and become more of a resource for our community. We’re already laying the groundwork for these things with events like Theatre and Chill and laying out plans for workshops. Some other fun facts about me? Outside of acting, I also work for a character company for children’s events, act in the Oriental Theatre’s Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast as Magenta, and dabble in special effects makeup. I also have a black cat named Bram who is a massive snugglebug and I'm a huge Harry Potter fan.
